Very nice lamp but assembly a bit awkward.
I am very pleased with the lamp but it would have been nice if it had come with the relevant bulbs even if the extra cost had been added on, as it would have been more convenient. My husband assembled the light and felt it was not as easy as some I had previously bought. I have to say the lamp is nice looking and I feel good value for money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice, stylish lamp
The lamp is pretty good. It look good, has a nice finish and seems reasonably well made. It's a little fiddly to assemble - you need to work out what to do before you start doing it - and it's heavy enough that an extra pair of hands to support it, is useful. Check that the seller is or is not including light bulbs. The factory seems to include bulbs and some sellers take them out (presumably to sell separately). The bulbs (especially the Alien Eye) can be tricky/fiddly to fit and the hatch doesn't look the best quality metal but that's really the only thing I would improve. Both Mother and Child are easily dimmable through a good range and the switches feel good to handle. Nice piece of kit really.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just the job
This is ideal for our purpose. We have it behind the TV to provide ambient background light in a dark corner. It is also set to illuminate some pictures on the wall. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The final structure is stable enough in our particular situation behind the TV where it is safe from visiting grand children.

I have seen the same on sale at twice the price, so good bargain.
A little tricky to put together if you have weak hands. Also don't lay it on the floor as recommended. Best way is to put a blanket on a table top and have the lamp end over the edge. Expensive but worth the money

Really good lamp
I have bought two of these lamps because I like them so much. I love the look and the fact that they are dimmable - and separately - for the main light and the reading light.
