No hassle rice maker!!
Bought this for a friend who always has difficulties cooking rice. I have used one of these for years and wouldn't go back to other methods. It is so easy and fullproof. I noticed on this one i bought for my friend, it mentions using long grain rice. I have always used Basmati without a problem, given the measured rice a quick rinse in a sieve under the cold tap, pop into container, add twice as much water as rice, add a bit of salt, cover as instructed and microwave for, usually 10 mins (that's on a 800w Microwave). The time may vary depending on how much rice you use, but you'll soon get to know!! Fluff up with a fork. Perfect!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Little Cracker
As there are only two of us since the boys have grown up and left, I wanted an easy solution to rice cooking as the electric one is now too big. This came with a measuring cup plus easy to follow instructions and cooks perfectly every time. The little spatula is cute too and serves its purpose. Wonderful! I had to replace one that I recently bought from a competitor which could never produce rice that wasn't gloopy, not matter how much I tweaked the quantities of rice and water. The Kitchen Craft gives perfect rice every time - don't know why cooks insist on boiling rice on the hob. 11 minutes and it's the perfect consistency - fluffy, yet firm. Does what it say it does
I bought this to replace one I had for years but finally broken. This one is a bit smaller and doesn't have an interior container. It works perfectly OK and I'd much rather cook rice in this than the traditional way in a saucepan. The down side is that the water seems to overflow each time and I'm only cooking for 2 people.
