Good strong reel
I bought this reel to accompany one I already had. I got my existing one a while ago, second hand reasonably cheaply, but when I came to look for another S/H one, the sellers were asking close to the price I paid for this one new. They seem to hold their value well. There are are better reels for casting, but these things are as tough as old boots, they have a very fast retrieve and if you need to haul a fish 15 feet or so up out of the water - fishing off rocks, piers sea walls etc. then they are strong enough to do it without complaint.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

a real workhorse. A great reel.
My only downer on this otherwise brilliant reel, is it's height above the rod blank. It can be difficult to get your thumb onto the drum for casting if you have small hands.
