Cleaner and easier to use than a petrol or corded lawnmower
Delivery was fast. I bought this S&P cordless lawnmower as a replacement for my petrol lawnmower. Easy to assemble the handle and the 2 batteries cut my 3 lawns with power to spare. Batteries charge up pretty fast ( just over the hour) and it was easy to clean the mower. Not as light or as quiet as I thought it would be but a bargain at £230.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Decent budget machine but has plenty of design issues
The mower works well and cuts cleanly, even fairly thick grass. The grass bag is large and easy to empty. It's far easier to manoeuvre than a corded mower not having to worry about the lead all the time.. The height adjustment is easy and gives a good range. The handle folds easily for neater storage. That's all the good stuff unfortunately. The grass bag is not easy to remove and refit in the correct slots. The roller is flimsy and doesn't give much striping effect. The handle is quite long, so more difficult to guide. I suspect even a good fully charged battery only lasts about 15 minutes cutting, so you definitely need two fully charged to do a decent sized lawn. Unfortunately, the single battery supplied with my refurbished machine was faulty and will only partly charge giving only about 8 minutes use. This renders the mower pretty useless for all but the smallest of lawns. I am sure there are more robust, better designed battery mowers on sale, but they can be much more expensive than this. This does a job, at least if you have a decent battery that is, but it is not really as good as i was hoping for..Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Battery electric is the way to go.
I've only used it a couple of times, and it does a superb cut. The battery lasted just on forty minutes of heavy cutting. I have a spare battery for those more difficult days. The spare battery cost was reasonable at £30 and well worth it. All in all it saves tripping over and getting tangled in mains supply leads and because it is not petrol driven, it can be stored safely within my home. Warm and dry is best.
This is a fairly large and powerful (40V) domestic battery lawnmower. I believe that it works well, is light and cuts a decent sized amount on one battery. Like the rest of them out there, it does not appreciate rain or cold weather; in fact in very cold weather it stops working altogether. Good lawnmower but rear roller weak
