Excellent Machine
The machine is larger than the picture suggests so a bit heavier than anticipated. The speed setting facility (near the trigger) is an absolute bonus and I now see it as an essential aspect of better control whilst working. I was making do with an old and much cheaper (less powerful) belt sander for the last few years which would not cope with being used fully flat on the job, but the power of this machine (old machine is 750w) copes really well when used fully flat. Dust extraction is a joke.
Silver paddle at front doesn't stay up as per pictures. Dust bag is useless, no connection for extractor system, dust gets everywhere and is dangerous. Belt does stay central quite well. Can't turn it upside down like you can with the Vonhaus sander (and attach to bench). Wide body prevents you getting close to walls etc, so for floors it's not great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Belts not strong enough
Brilliant floor sander but the belts just can’t keep up to long continuous use, fine ones last longest (15mins) rougher ones 2to5 mins but you can’t blame the sander for the belts, so be warned power is no good if the belts can’t keep upVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

good power tool
Tough robust and sturdy power tool. Ready to go from the box, controls easy, belt assembly quick and from power up ploughs its way through the surface, leaves a good finish whatever belts you use, be careful to hold on to it though! the only negative bit is the dustbag which i think is a little small, sanding floors like I was requires huge bags like bin liners that fill, also make sure to wear all the PPE as needed! Not the lightest of belt sanders, but definitely one of the best I have used. Like the flip front, ideal for tight places. So far no faults found with ease of use. Exceeded my expectations by a mile
I wasn't expecting much for the price but in all fairness this is a brilliant bit of kit! I managed to take all the paint off an electric guitar in about half an hour - a process that took me almost a week with my old orbital. Good value but loud!
