Does what it should
Brita on-faucet filters do a good job at filtering contaminants compared to other filters, and you don't need to worry about refilling a pitcher or taking up room in your fridge. I can actually confirm that the filtration works because my husband has tested it in his chem lab! The indicator for replacement used to be a light, but is now a difficult-to-read color marker. The indicator also doesn't seem to work for very long, so I recommend keeping track of when it was installed. But that is more a comment on the whole system; the refills work great so long as you have a working system. And the 3-pack is a great deal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Used water filter
I received the item I ordered but it was not new, the box had water damage and one of the filters was used. There were water spots and calcium build up and when I put the filter on, theres an indicator to tell you when you need a new filter and that one showed it needed to be replaced already. We haven't installed one of these we just purchased; but have used them before and feel that there should be no problem with them since they are brand new in the package.
