    Works well

Does exactly what its supposed to do! Sharpened lawnmower blade, it only took a few minutes to do, and the improvement is tremendous. I was thinking about buying a new mower but this cheap and easy tool has given it a new lease of life.

  • Most critical review

    Typical Silverline quality

Be prepared to repair this tool - it's held together by that flimsy black plastic part that will break as soon as it's used. Replace the black plastic part with a washer or two. Use some superglue or threadlock on the screw because it's a standard screw that will undo with the direction of the drill. It sharpens mower blades quite well and is fairly cheap.

  • Does the job.

Cheap and simple this little gadget makes the job easy. A vice is handy to hold either the drill/sharpener or the "sharpenee" I chose the former and sharpened up a couple of axes in a couple of minutes. A "Mad Axeman's" essential but a little too rough for knives unless used to rescue a damaged blade before more subtle treatment.

  • Quick & Easy

I picked up a S/H mower for my son but for some reason could not get the blade off to sharpen it, I looked through eBay and found this Silverline Sharpener Tool, thought I could at least give it a try but to my surprise it worked very well, now my son can cut his own grass without borrowing my mower.

  • Sharp piece of kit

Great for sharpening my rotary mower blade, save £££s on buying replacement blades. Works equally well on kitchen knives and garden shears & loppers. Great piece of kit and reasonable price too.

  • Blade sharpening

Great little device for mower blades etc, you will need a power drill, I would also recommend gloves, and glasses. A better description of were to place the blade would help, however some would say its obvious. It should save you some money in the end.
