    The Good and the Bad

    My application was to upgrade my webcam to a much better quality lens on a DSLR for Zoom meetings. Years ago, I used the Intensity Extreme, and appreciated having the option of an even smaller form factor. What is so Good about this is that you can get (and record) Uncompressed video to use in your workflow, which also permits you to choose ProRes 422 codecs as well. Having your laptop as a monitor for setting up your shots is so much better, because you don't need the added investment of a separate video monitor (unless, of course you want (in my case need) things like false color, but I have a separate monitor for that purpose. The Bad - The installation instructions seem simple, but inevitably become complicated, because when installing, you want to visit their website to locate the latest driver. -- This could be tricky for some, because what you need with this item is the 'most recent applicable driver'. My words. -- Meaning, it's an older device, so look for the most recent version of the driver on the website. Which brings me to this. It would be nice to be able to navigate the website using the product name as a search term, AND getting the right product. This one, instead of the 4k version. -- The info IS there. You just have to be diligent about searching for it. Helps to have some tech knowledge too. -- I wouldn't have expected to have my client be able to install this. Bottom line. Excellent product: form factor, durability, and quality.

    Another great black magic piece

    Only works on Thunderbolt II or III macs.

    I tried to use an early 'Lightning' port on a 2012 mac and it won't work. You gotta have Thunderbolt II or III. Doesn't get recognized by the software.
