Sensible prices
I was going to get this on pre-order but the more I found out about it the less enthusiastic I became until I cancelled my pre-order fearing the worst. I bought this in mid May 2019 for £35 and I'm truly happy that I didn't pay any more for it. The only thing that makes this worth the purchase is the autobleem community. This is not as polished as the Nintendo mini console's but a good purchase for modding as most of the game are meh!! But come to think of it, this was a next gen console that did 3D without many good games at its launch, BUT IT WAS 3D. Sadly it's only redeeming feature untill the really good games started rolling out for it. So, yes it is an overhyped console that took a while to get good games. Also, people bought it as a CD player as it rivalled the more expensive Philips CD player in sound quality (another reason why it sold so well). Two games missing from the PlayStation Classic which defined it are Parapa the Rapper and Silent Hill (Twisted Metal and Rainbow Six should not be here).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

solid build, good selection
First let me preface this by saying waiting for the PS 5 I decided to buy and play the retro consoles first nintendo then megadrive and finally this...and Ive had a total blast, the graphis and game play are solid on the titles which are also cool, I might not have felt the same going from say PS4 to this but working my way up the consoles really set me up for this and Ive just thouraghly enjoyed my trip through history Only gripe I have is the opt out save feature in this is clunky compared to the other consoles...not irredeemable but if your jumping out the game at a hectic point and want to save from there you better be accurate when pressing that button or you could hit the OFF which is located right beside it...WHY didn't you just allow the player to access this feature from a pause from the joy pad...tsk... but still highly recommend itVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

It has some good games
Firstly I suppose this will depend on what you consider good games. But lets put them aside and focus on the console itself. It is perfectly formed. And all buttons do something. I had no idea until I set it up that the open button is now a virtual disc swapper, for games with more than one disc. The only downside is a lack of a power brick. But they are easy to pick up. You could plug it into your tv as it needs 5 volts 1 amp to function properly. The two controllers work very well. For newer gamers it may take some getting used to no analogue sticks. All in all I'd say it's now worth the price. And if you don't like the games you can always mod the console. Just look on YouTube.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

This review is based on the potential of the console being upgraded, not as it is when bought. Initially when the console was released earlier this year, it was badly received due to the limited 20 games and graphic downscaling. BUT now thanks to the modding community it is possible to improve on its limitations, and add more games also. Autobleem, and Bleemsync are the main software additions which can turn this into a great console.
