Nice product, great bandwidth, wifi rather weak.
A good product, easy to install, that easily makes use of all the bandwidth my cable subscription allows me. The only reservation I have is about the strength of the wifi signal. While probably better for your health, it now does not reach anymore the places in my house that my old netgear wifi router had no problem reaching. Media server?
The router was easy to setup but I am still puzzle about the media drive and no it is not my first router install. It seems but I might be wrong (I must be) that the router would play the media (if any are present) but I have not find a way to upload media directly to it from a computer on the network, does it mean that one need to physically plug the drive to a computer? Cell phone problens
It's a great product, but there is a bug with cell phones. They do not stay connected. Support is very good, but they do not have a fix yet. I figured out a workaround for now by messing with the time zone. They don't make another product like this so they couldn't send a better replacement. They offered to refund me if they don't come up with a fix before my store return policy expires. Pretty cool as far as support goes. We'll see.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Doesn't work with Andoid 6.0 and above!
Good product, easy to set up wireless, cable TV works fine. Windows laptop worked fine. However, neither my Android phone nor my Android tablet could latch on to the wi-fi signal for more than a second. Had to go through 2 layers of customer service only to be told that this seems to be known problem and they are working on a firmware update which should be coming out before the end of 2017. If this was an issue, they should have been upfront about it. Lots of experience with this modem/router
Seems like I have to reset modem/router combo (power down then back up again) all to often to keep all working. For example network connected printer seems to get lost. Wifi connected devices also get lost. Always seems to recover after reset action. This review is after 3 years of use. Works good most of the time but resets are annoying. Worth having a learning experience to get this fine unit usable
1) was told to get a new router to support the speed increase from 50mbs to 200 mbs. 2) router made no difference as the modem didn't support the higher speed, so returned router and bought the cg7500 modem/router. After discovering that I was using the wrong power cord, it worked fine. 3) Then discovered that my laptop doesn't support the 5 ghz band. So now looking at an ac adapter for my laptop. I would have liked to have known all the needs to get this service to work optimally up front, but I'm on my way, having learned from the experience..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
