For the price, a great product.
The pros: it is sturdy and well made, it looks like it will not break easily. It works well. The cons: You have to get a screwdriver out and take it apart to clean it. (Very easily done so I will just keep a screwdriver in my kitchen). They say you don't have to clean it often but it seems like the flour would attract bugs if not kept clean. The other con: It grinds slowly. But it was $100 less than the other grinder I was looking at and I didn't want to spend that. Plus, I am not grinding flour every day. it should be made more clear in the instructions that you have to clean it before use
the mill is great, I love it. I did read the entire manual and did know that oil was inside and it needed to be cleaned, but it wasn't clear how to do that especially when I couldn't get the large front screws off, it has a small hex nut and I couldn't be sure that it was not the way to disassemble. I went to live chat, she told me to use it without cleaning, I knew from the manual that there can be NO oil or moisture in the mill or it will gum up. I did get my answer, it is the large screws and once the were off it was easy to clean and use. It should have a better indicator that it is indeed the screws and it needs to be much clearer that the mill must be cleaned before use, your live chat representative did not know.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Love it!
I love being able to grind my own flour. In order to have a finer flour, I ran the grain through the mill 3 times. My first loaf of bread turned out better than I had expected and it tasted great. I love the convenience of being able to use my KitchenAid mixer in so many ways. I liked being able to purchase an attachment for the mixer rather than having to but a stand-alone, electric mill that would have been more expensive. Some time ago, I was given a stand-along electric mill and after one use could not use it anymore because of the noise it made. The KitchenAid mill attachment is much more quiet and useable in the house. As I have already said, I love being able to grind my own flour. Works well
The mill works well. It’s easy to use. When grinding fine material to very fine be sure to help the material to “flow” into the auger. The fine setting is very similar to store bought flour. Kitchen Aid the best
Just the brand name speaks to the quality. And its purpose allows you to start from a more basic ingredient and more carefully attend to providing nutrition to your family. I have not yet used it since I’m not sure it will like grinding my almonds. Great for grinding wheat - high quality attachment
This is a high quality attachment for a kitchenaid mixer. My wife loves to bake bread and this thing works great to grind wheat. I like the fact that it is easy to put back in the box when you're done. It's not cheap but it is obviously a high quality attachment. Great for those who had Gluten Problems
This makes the finest rice flour you could want. And for a celiac disease sufferer it is worth the cost. I have been using a bur coffee grinder before this. The best I could get was a course corn meal size consistency of flour. But with this I will be able to make light as air Gluten free sponge, and angle food cakes as well as breads to my taste. I used the smallest mill size. I would not recommend that you run the mixer on 10. When I baked the bread it was gritty, not unpleasant though. I believe if you only wanted flour every once in a while this would be great. But if you plan on baking regularly get a stand alone mill.

Very happy with it. Used it only to mill whole berry hard wheat so far. The first loaf we milled twice but once will do from here on. It took only about 10 minutes to mill enough flour for four loaves. A little noisy but not overly. Does a very good job for the average household.
