Battery disconnector, heavy duty?
This disconnector is well made in terms of its physical appearance and how it fits and works. The only downside I found is that because it is brass it was very easy to cross-thread. The fix was to thread from the opposing side and re-create the thread again. It would have been better if it was made from a harder alloy. Not universal fitting.
The item is solid and well made, but there was no straightforward way of fitting it to my Mazda 2 standard battery set-up. Perhaps it should be made clearer that this product does not simply bolt on to any car. You get what you pay for!
It may be the unit that I purchased but I can never be sure that the battery has in fact disconnected, the insulation between the two parts of the unit allows the screw to touch and reconnect the unit. I have to use a multimeter to ensure the battery is disconnected. Functional and reasonably priced
Easy to fit, works as it should but you need to make sure you have disconnected the battery completely by switching something on in the vehicle ( radio or ignition) to double check as it takes several turns of the knob to disconnect properly.
