Park Tool Master Link splitter tool.
After years of frustration, struggling to try and split master links with ordinary pliers, circlip pliers, bits of old brake cable that bites into your hand, I finally bit the bullet and bought the correct tool for the job......and what a relief it was !! I can now split and reconnect the master link with ease. I decided to to buy the Park Tool version of this tool, as the others on Ebay looked cheap and easily broken. I'm a great believer in if you're going to do a job, do a good job once, rather than a bad job three or four times. Park tool have a great reputation for quality, and the price was very reasonable compared to others online. Park Tool make the best bicycle tools... there's just no getting away from the fact. I've tried to save money by getting something less expensive only for that to break in my hands on the day it really mattered... since I made the decision to stay with Park Tools I have never been let down. These tools are PURPOSE MADE they fit perfectly, feel good in your hand and they do the job they were intended for. I think the Park Tools guys have a team of tool dreamers who come up with tool solutions and modifications to tool solutions all the time. I find the YouTube Park Tool videos an awesome place to browse for inspiration and just solid advice. I highly recommend anyone to Park Tools, for anything bike related. Good value, great quality Master Link tool
As with all Park Tools, this is not a cheap product but it IS good value, as it will last you a lifetime. It removes and reconnects master links in under a second, and I just wish I'd bought one of these a long time ago instead of cheaper, unreliable versions.
