Top quality phone with some serious specifications and features
Main reason I bought this was for the screen size and internal memory., my old Sony Xperia Z ultra 6.4 inch was getting old and slow, they had stopped the software updates etc. Performance wise, it`s fast, tons of smart features, some that are seriously very handy, some that you will hardly use, but they are there. Display quality is superb and it has twin speakers, and it`s loud. Also, for me, it`s better to buy one that`s nearly new and buy the airtime separately rather than going down the contract route, works out half the price when you do the maths. A while back, there was something in the news about a ban on U.S companies dealing with Chinese tech companies and there were worries about how this would affect this android phone. Well, no problems with the Google Play apps, or any other third party apps for that matter. Only downside is the price of the Nano memory card which are unique to Huawei, but give it a few months and no doubt they will come down to an acceptable level. As with all phones, don`t forget to spend a few pounds and get a good case/cover etc for it. Not that big a phone. Currently have a Lenovo phab 2 pro which is big and quite old. Needed NFC which was why I bought this phone plus for better battery life. Lenovo has a better picture so much louder with earphones although haven't used earphones that came with phone. My biggest gripe is when watching YouTube and the like the screen size is cropped at each end. If you want the best big phone this has to be the one. All pros I could think of: -Huge screen with minimal bezels and amoled panel -Kirin 980 performance -Dual stereo speakers -Headphone jack with good dac -Amazing and very versatile camera -Huge size battery capacity 5000mah -Very fast included charger Few very minor cons: -Screen is not 1440p -Only IP54 -EMUI can be clunky at times -No wireless charging

What a Samsung Note should be today
This is a great phone. I have the Chinese version, AL00. Dual SIM with more RAM and storage. Didn't get the 5g version as the coverage in the UK isn't that good and I don't really need that speed. Also the 5g model has a smaller battery. It has an IR blaster too which means it's a remote control as well. Bonus! Upgraded from a Honor 6X. Bloody hell... the Mate 20 X is awesome!
