Mmmmm...
Bass heavy. Muddy sounding. No upper end to speak of. Sound quality definitely sub £120 for purposes of value comparison. Absolutely no equal to those 8 year old Harman Kardon Soundsticks II they were supposed to replace, which in turn seem excellent value at +£100. Those are at least very clear, open and with good mid range and some higher end, without requiring use of inline DACS and equaliser tweaks to get any balance. Klipsch apparently have a reputation for bright sounding speakers based on their use of their developed horn tech. Based on what I am hearing, not at all justified. And I am playing wired HD Lossless 3100kbps files, not 320kbps. Twice CD quality, and who can regularly play that degree of quality. The Klipsch bass boost on these is way heavy, unbalanced and artificial. Non-audiophile boom boxes. TL:DR - Good all-around / jack of all trades speakers
I needed a pair of speakers to compliment a recent TV purchase. On top of that I wanted no fuss wireless music from any source. There's very little this pair can't do on paper. These speakers are active (powered) have bluetooth, come with a remote and have their own USB DAC. The last one is important. You can connect to any old laptop and bypass the bad on board sound. On top of these there's phono in/out, aux jack in, sub out. Happy to report, all of these features work well. BT connection is instant and trouble free. The remote looks and feels nice and the USB connection is plug and play, no driver required. Do they sound good? Oh yes. For movies and music as well. The first hour or so I though the bass is muddy. The speakers were on the floor, close to the wall. I put them on improvised speaker stands with isolation pads and pulled them further from the wall. Sound improved significantly. Probably this is what I should have done from the start, these are bookshelf speakers after all. Do they sound £300+ good? I have a feeling some of the cheaper active speakers could sound similar, however the extra features mentioned above need to be calculated into the price. You are getting a very comprehensive package and the speakers deliver what's on the spec sheet with ease.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Big sound little price

True HiFi at last
I had a top class HiFi system years ago but sold it for a good quality TV, and always yearned for a quality music system. When I discovered Bluetooth speakers it ticked a lot of good things about technology and I bought a pair of JBL charge 3's which was ok but lacked the quality I was looking for. I wanted the Kef LSX speakers but couldn't justify the £1000 price tag, after a bit of research I came across the Klipsh speakers with Bluetooth and I took the plunge. And I'm so glad I did. Although they're relatively small the kick out a mighty sound not lacking in base and represent the soundstage I was looking for. So anyone contemplating a bluetooth system (I use a mobile phone with Aptx and lossless files) I'd say go for it.
