I have had the pleasure of owning many Zeiss lenses over the years, and they all are built like fine jewels and solid as a tank and this Loxia is no exception. Focus action is buttery smooth and easy to attain with the Sony A7's focus peaking which is automatically invoked as soon as you move the focus ring however imperceptibly. This lens is extremely sharp, even wide open. It delivers excellent contrast and color fidelity. Manual focusing is super-smooth, and in the EVF of my Sony A7RII it is easy to see the image come into focus.
