Not sure about this oils quality
I recently bought a high mileage transporter T5 and as a precaution I thought I’d change all oils and filters. There wasn’t a specific problem but it was peace of mind. As soon as I changed the gearbox oil I noticed that gear changes were stiffer and it developed and crunch in 2nd gear when cold (ok when hot). This suggested a problem with the oil so I bought some genuine Vw oil which was much more expensive but has transformed the gear change and no more crunching in 2nd.
