BT's cock-up!
The handset is an extremely bad design. It doesn't sit in the charging cradle after use and causes many unwanted buttons to be accidentally pressed. It's laid so far back, it just slides out again. To say B.T is in the field of communications and telephones, it would be better designing something easier - 6 inch nails come to mind - and leave telephone design to the Big Boys - such as Panasonic. Pretty good but not perfect
Does what it should. However, the ringtones offered are not very pleasant and you can't adjust the volume of the confirmation tone every time a unit is placed back in the charge station. The fix is to put a bit of blu tak on the rear sound port where the ringer sound comes out of. Menu navigation is pretty good and the display easy to read. Answerphone functions are simple too. Once all set up, it's a fit and forget solution. I got my system at a discount price as an ex demo set and didn't have instructions but they are easy to find online though they take a bit of reading to set things up properly. Really great value
Items arrived well packed and in as new condition, arriving within a couple of days from order. All work fine and has one of the best ranges we have had after having a few different brands over the years. Screens are a bit basic but functional and easy to use and like it that you only have to put contacts in one phone and it copies to all the others which is a feature a lot of pack phones don’t have in my experience. BT XD56 Quad better than old Quad
After the initial charging period, which I think I left overnight, the whole system plugged in and worked fine. The longest call we have had since then was 1hr 43mins and the battery was still fine. Peace 'n' quiet.
With these nice new phones, replacing my aging previous quad portables, I have clawed back from the edge of frustration with international cold calls and silent calls; that avoid the telephone preference service. They've now been completely silenced. Since these have been active, I have been able to benefit from setting phone book entries once, and being able to black list numbers on any handset for the whole system to use. So much easier than my old set which required individual hardset entries. Plus the ability to assign individual ringtones to phone book numbers, just like mobiles can, makes it easier to know when important contacts are calling. Disappointed
