Eventually the remaining bolt will loosen or break, and the result could be catastrophic. if the bolt broke when you tried to loosen it, it probably will need to be drilled out.The caliper is attached to the steering knuckle via mounting bolts and the caliper sits over part of the brake disc or rotor.If your caliper isn't moving freely, it could be because the guide pins are bent or binding.
