Great sound but...
Three things prevent me giving this 5 stars. When put in standby mode the display dims but one or two bright blue lights remain and are distracting when trying to sleep. The remote control has to be used sideways and is too small and fiddly. The base needs turning down. Having said that the sound quality is excellent. And buying a factory refurbished unit direct from Roberts is a great way to save money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Disappointed with general features and remote control is useless!
I was looking forward to receiving this item in the post.... but as I unwrapped it and started to set it up I quickly became disillusioned. For a start why is the Remote Control so small, badly designed so you have to use both hands to operate it and the lettering so tiny? Also the range of it appears to be about 3 foot from the base unit! The instructions to set it up are pretty complicated too. I gave up trying to store the 10 pre-set DAB radio stations after about 20 attempts trying to do it. The Bluetooth function is pretty useless. I set my nokia phone to play through the system but the maximum volume was barely louder than my phone! I think the Roberts Blutune 100 is compact, good looking and has a reasonable sound quality and tone to it, but the features could be improved immensely. Apart from the items mentioned above I think it should be able to connect to Wi-Fi so more DAB stations can be accessed and CD playback could include the artist and album details etc. I would not recommend the Roberts Blutune 100.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Excellent product
This product is ace and I bought as a cheaper alternative to Sonos. So is more adaptable than Sonos as plays cds and offer more radio choice but sound quality not as good. Quality let down.
A fine piece of 'kit' and a bargain but with an astoundingly awful remote. It's so small! Also difficult to set the presets. The sound seems muddy to me (talking radio) but that could be my old ears. Nice sound system
I was looking at the Pure system too, which is much more expensive, but I'm glad (all over) that I went for the Roberts system now. I had to 'play about' with the graphic equaliser to get the sound to my liking and now I'm well pleased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
