Pro res, Tape Capture, Old projects (PE10) load good, Dual Monitor set up bad
We have been using PE 10 for years now, and it was our main editing program. We had to update to PE 15 after a recent hardware install stopped PE 10 from working. We never upgraded because we liked the PE 10 user interface more. PE 10 can dock preview window to 2nd monitor, the 'Dual monitor" setting for PE 15 is not as good, This is a preference of ours!! the program still has a capture from tape function which we use often. It also looks like it loads and processes Pro res footage just fine, (pro res was reason for upgrade, PE 10 didn't do it, but didn't expect it to stop working all together). So Pro res, a clunkier dual monitor set up, but still captures tape and seems to load old PE 10 projects well. But we're really picky.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Upgraded from Version 9 to 15. Makes great Blu-Ray Disks
I had been using Adobe Elements Premiere 9 for many years to convert my home videos to Blu-Ray. It has served me well, but I noticed that lately that it quietly rejects some of the larger MP4 files, and my Blu_rays are missing those clips completely. The reason I went with Premiere Elements 15 is because it is the last version that includes the function to burn the movie to a Blu-Ray. The latest version does not seem to have that capability built in. Adobe Elements Premiere 15 is a lot like the older versions, but I must say, it is a lot less intuitive to use. I had to look on-line for how to use functions like creating the Blu-Ray Menu. This function is something that should have been like a wizard, something where you click a "Next" button after adding/editing the Video, and the software should take you to that function. But it does not work like that - I had to actually hunt for the function to create the Menu. And then I had to hunt for the function that burns the Blu-Ray. That is why I subtracted one star. The conversion of the Video takes 5-6 hours on my Intel i7 Laptop, and the burning takes less than an hour. I generally leave it overnight to burn one Blu-Ray. But the quality of the Blu-Ray is amazing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
