  • Looks good, and that's it!

The good: This bike looks really good Rear Shimano deraileur Front and rear brakes I has a front and a rear tire Bottle opener The bad: Manufacture packaging was deficient, the seat was damaged during shipping because of this, and one of the front rim had a bent spoke because they jamed a pedal between them... Not a biggie I was able to fix the spoke and got the wheel trued. The ugly: After my girlfriend rode it for the first time, the next day I noticed the bike had a flat. Went on to fix it that's when I saw that the inside of the front rims had deep scars that punctured the tube and the tube lining was "this word again" deficient. They use some kind of extremely thin sticky plastic tape "not even electrical tape" instead of real tube lining... Cost me a new tube, sand paper and new tube lining "real one this time". And my guess is that the rear rim is identical to the front. Then after a few more short rides the bottom bracket started to make some grinding noise, so I went on to dismantle it to see what was the problem, First the bearing wasn't greased properly almost no grease in there. Second the bearing is not sealed so everything gets in there, dust , sand, water you name it. Third the inner bearing cups are just are just pressed fit, not even screwed... So if you plan on upgrading the bottom bracket to something better, that's what you are basically "screwed". I think my girlfriend will be forced to retire this bike a lot sooner than she originally planned. Conclusion: Well I was a bit harsh with this product but I expected a bit more. If you ride it occasionally and take good care of it I'm pretty sure it will last many season. But if you plan on riding it every day on big commutes I would look elsewhere. But hey ! It does look good! And it has a bottle opener!
