  • Epiphone Dot Cherry

Pros...outstanding quality for the price, cherry finish allows the wood grain to show thru, excellent neck profile for chords or solos, no problems at all yet from the switches or knobs so notorious for failing or simply falling out, handles pedals well for my taste, I am so glad I finally got the semi-hollow sound from a tube amp I had been looking for. Cons...maybe a few will appear after owning this guitar for a longer time, but so far I have found nothing to discourage anyone from purchasing an Epiphone Dot.

  • Great Guitar without braking the bank

The EPIPHONE Dot Es 335 copy is a great guitar to play. I love the wood , the tone from the EPIPHONE hardware, and the weight of it. The neck pickup is warm and true to the tone and the bridge is not to hot but you still get the Tele Twain’s in between the two pickups. If you don’t want to fork up a ton of cash, for a Gibson , please consider the EPIPHONE Dot 335 copy, you will not be disappointed. Go for it, the newer models are definitely worth the time to try one out. I w have a 2005 made in Korea model Dot. The hardware is awesome and I won’t need no pickup change ever.

  • Refurbished or "Hot Rodded"?

I bought this guitar for an excellent price, knowing that it may need some adjustments. The components were better than a "stock" model; Bigsby, hotter pickups & stronger tuners. The company I got it from, Bazaarguitar was excellent in communication and delivery. I had some difficulty in the truss rod adjustment, but repaired it to function as it should. i would recommend both this model guitar and the ebayer I bought it from, to anyone who asks!

  • Great Guitar, first class seller

This guitar is 90% as good as the Gibson ES 335 for about one tenth the price. Great for blues and classic rock. This gets the sounds of the early Beatles and Stones and 1960's rock groups, as well as the Eric Clapton sound when he was with Cream. The sunburst finish also gets that classic look. Everything well put together and finished on this guitar except the volume and tone pots, which can be replaced for a few dollars. The seller was honest, courteous, and prompt. Overall a great deal!

  • Sweet Axe Epi-339

Mine I bought second hand. This guitar is made in China. This to me is normally a red flag. Nothing against China, it’s just that sometimes QC is not good, craftsmanship the same and goods are not.. well, good. This is not the case here. The guitar is really well made, it plays well is easy to hold, the pick ups are great sounding and the quality of wood and all parts are excellent.. I have a Custom Shop Strat, and a made in Nazareth Martin so, I look for Quality. This is a sweet Axe for all Genres of Guitar sounds. Mine is not the one in the picture up top. I passed on that and got a nicer one for $500 bucks with the hard shell case. I’ll download a few photos. Pick one of these up. Don’t change the pick ups or anything. You don’t need 2

  • Love it! It's a hot guitar!

The professional setup was worth it, the action is fantastic. It is a joy to play and to look at! As described, the "blemish" is not noticeable. I'll take a "blemish" any day if it saves me almost a hundred bucks. I've always played Fenders prior to this, and the neck is noticeably wider than a Tele, which is great for players like me with big hands. I had to switch out the strings for a heavier gauge, because my finger pressure on the strings was enough to send the strings right out of tune. That worried me at first, but the heavier strings seems to have resolved it. I am happy to add the the guitar was shipped quickly in a very sturdy package. I would happily recommend Lightspeed Music, and will check them out again next time I have an urge to splurge on another instrument.

  • Epiphone Dot 335

Surprisingly good guitar for the price. A bit on the heavy side, though Pickups should be upgraded for better performance. Overall, a good buy. Why pay a Gibson price when an Epiphone is there for a fraction of the cost? You won't be disappointed, believe me. It's even setup up OK from the distributor(Gibson)

  • Dot review

The Epiphone Dot I purchased is amazing. I've played an American Standard strat for 25 years and I was immediately floored by the Dot's tone and electronic sensitivity. I pastured it through a twin reverb and put it through it's paces with my band. Given the wide range of tone I could coax from her (named her, Kim Jam IL), this Korean made axe has the versatility that makes an eclectic song list no problem. I played through clean channels and through a ts808 for overdrive. From Queen's "Crazy Little Thing" to Iron Maiden's "Wrathchild," this guitar produced every tone requured of every song with ease and the stock electronics were much more sensitive to change than my strat. Very impressed and extremely happy with this purchase.

  • Epiphone Dot Guitar review.

GOOD: the tuners are smooth, it has excellent sustain, the pickups are acceptable, and the rosewood finger board is nice but not as slick as my maple strat. neck. BAD: It feels a bit heavy, it's not a $3,000.00 335 Gibson but it's an excellent value.
