Simply the best
I purchased this one on behalf of my sister as I have a similar unit myself and very pleased with it. This unit is simplicity itself to set up and couldn't be easier to use. Blocking incoming calls is as easy as pressing the red button while the call is active or, if you're on a different handset that's not near the base unit, press #2. The automatic blocking features are very flexible if you wish to set it up to block all calls of a certain type. Go ahead and buy one. Outdated technology no longer fully effective
The product technology may have been good a few years back but has not really kept up with the scammers who are now one step ahead again. Peace and quiet at last
This is working very well for me, after getting 2 or 3 calls a day it is now 0. I have put 4 numbers into the machine and will probably need to add some more. What a relief!
Plagued by nuisance and scam calls and my Gigaset call blocking phone having limited space on its blocked list - and no way of revising it - the choice was a whole new phone (or two) or this nifty wee gadget that sits tidily by the phone with a nice big red button which is so satisfying to push when required. Red button block
After many months of nuisance calls and a particularly irritating one about "Amazon Prime" being compromised, I decided to purchase a call blocker. I read a few reviews and the CPR V5000 seemed to be well accepted. I was able to find a factory repaired unit on line for a very good price and have not been disappointed. The blocker is very easy to use and stores all the blocked numbers so you can review them and reinstate any if required. A great defence against annoying callers, scammers and robot messages.
Very easy to use and does what it says well. Nuisance callers receive a number unobtainable continual tone, which should get your number deleted off their 'lists'. GDPR doesn't apply to these scammers and annoying callers, so call blocker is a great defence against them. I have a phone number that has been reissued and 6 years on was still getting calls for the original user, now this has all stopped. Silent callers, HMRC scammers, Bank scammers, Visa card scammers, 'the accident you had recently' scammers and the PPI scammers, all gone and the phone only rings from callers you want to hear from, perfect. It's like going back in time to the 70's and 80's before this all started! A 'MUST HAVE' Gadget
EXCELLENT. Why have I been thinking so long about purchasing one. Forget the price, just get one. Please not it is simple to block a call after you have answered it on your cordless as well. Just listen to what they are saying press # and then 2 whilst they are talking and you can say "TA!TA!" you will not hear from them again on that number. You can only block a caller if there is a number showing on your telephone AND subscribing monthly for Caller ID with your provider. Any other numbers that you have listed on paper, just follow the simple plain instructions in the booklet provided and they will be GONE as well! Great!!"!!!! Good guardian

Does a good job
Nice gadget - I was getting several nuisance calls every day until I installed this blocker. I was using a different CPR blocker previously but nuisance calls started coming through. This new one has many more numbers pre-installed which makes it much more effective. Oddly, sometimes the caller id number on my phone display is different to the one shown on the blocker display, butvp I still hit the 'blick' button. So easy to block those pesky sales calls!
Our new landline provider doesn't provide call blocking, so we had to look for an easy and effective way to stop nuisance calls. A bit of research led me to CPR's range of blockers and we chose the V5000 because of the larger number of pre-blocked numbers.
