Centre finder accuracy.
The part is ok but needs to be checked for centre position. I put a chamfer on some bar stock in the lathe and held this centre finder in the tail stock to see where the indicator pointed. To start with it was a fair bit off but adjusted point location to indicator mark on the grinder. Don't trust this is accurate without checking it first. Once reworked did the job just fine and for less than a fiver it's not worth making one yourself.
