And I thought my 300 Mbps adapter before was good enough....
Last few months my WLAN became drastically slower, many cases of lost connection and when watching HD clips, it was going nowhere. So I tried everything... bought new router (300 Mbps), changed DD-WRT, tried many configurations with WLAN settings, bought new larger and stronger (12 dBi) antenna and nothing better. Ok, I little bit but not so noticable. And then finally I thought what about removing the USB adapter and changing it with something better. And found this! Now with this adapter my WLAN speed is awesome. Constantly connecting at 144 Mbps and now my PC with this adapter is catching 8 sorrounded WLANs I never found them before. Web pages are now opened amazingly fast and there is no any lag. And conclusion - my ''generic'', no-trademark and probably fake 300 Mbps adapter I was using before, goes straightly to the garbage bin. This one is total win!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap, not cheerful
I bought this to give me better wi-fi reception than my dreadful laptop reception. When it works,it's fine but it BSODs due to driver issues with Win10 and often forgets it's a Wi-Fi dongle and not, in fact, a brioche. I'm now hunting for an Alfa as I've heard good things about them. I look forward to setting fire to this thing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Looks good, good signal strength and good value for money.
Initially wouldn't complete detection/driver-installation on one particular machine but that seems to have been the motherboard BIOS fault rather than the TPlink adapter. Latest motherboard BIOS fixed it straight away and changelog indicated the original motherboard BIOS had USB compatibility issues. Once motherboard BIOS updated, Windows 10 detected and installed correct driver straight away without any problems. A different machine had not problems detecting it at all. Good product. Would be my first choice again for a wireless adapter of the similar specifications/bandwidth.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Like all good things this is simple usb aerial which fits in your usb socket on your computer or laptop. Use the the CD to add the software to your device and bob,s your uncle. This device will improve the reception from your router and every other router within a 50mts radius. Great if you live in a concrete solid house or your router is poor. Brilliant
I've had a problem with my wifi for months, the signal would come and go, tried new router, countless dongles, alsorts, was about to give up, when someone said try one of these. Wish I had in the first place, they are brilliant, easy to install, easy to connect, and I've had a stable, strong connection since, would recommend one of these, everyday, all day. Fantastic device - can't get over it
I have been using this product for less than a day and it is amazing. I have had problems with the laptop connecting for over a year, and this device seems to be better than the built in laptop wifi module has ever been. I have gone from connections of one bar to now four to five bars. The connections that this achieves seem closer to ethernet than wifi. It is a real bargain, and one of the best items that I have ever bought. I could not get over how good it was. I can promise that you will not regret it. There is however a problem if you use Windows 7. Every so often, the computer will crash when I connect this device. There is a black screen, then a blue screen, and I have to re-start it. It can happen several times, and then nothing for maybe a month. TP Link tell me to re-install the new driver (I have tried this with and without 'safe mode'), but it does not work. Big Ears!! (it picks-up everything)
A very good item that may be used as a tool as part of Security Penetration Testing (i.e. when using Kali Linux), as it can be set to 'Monitor Mode', or used simply as a top notch wifi receiver (with excellent range) This is my second TL-WN822N as my other was getting rather old and tattered - it's worth noting that they come with different internal Chipsets, my first TL-WN822N had an Atheros Chipset & my latest (This Purchase) has a Realtek Chipset; Both work equally fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent quality
Arrived next day after purchase with 24 hour 1 class royal mail delivery. Very good quality adapter and well packed as well. Had couple cheap wi-fi adapters before this, they worked but last just over one year without faults. Hope this will last much longer. Drivers CD and USB cable included with this adapter. Also looking really nice on my desk.

External USB Wi-fi Adapter
The TP-Link Wi-fi adapter is a great option for desktop PCs. It's a good alternative to wireless network adapter cards and USB dongles because of the fact that the receiver can be placed away from the computer to minimise interference with the wi-fi signal. In my personal experience compared with a wi-fi usb dongle (with no external antenna) my internet speed went up from 8mbps (intermittent) to a solid 30mbps.
