Excellent replacement for stock processor in HP Gen 8 Microserver
After looking at many alternatives I found this processor to be the most suitable upgrade to the stock Celeron processor which was in my Gen8 microserver. Its 35W TDP is the same as the G1610 Celeron and therefore works with the existing heatsink. After installing this processor and using new thermal paste I was achieving temperatures of around 34c at idle. It has made the biggeat difference to conversions of files in Plex where it used to work at around 8x and now converts files at around 25x. All in all a well priced, cool running, economic CPU which gives a good performance boost over a my stock chip.
