Different from the PUR filter I used to buy for my Whirlpool fridge
I used to buy PUR filters for my Whirlpool fridge. When those were no longer available, I didn't know what to buy in its place, so I went to the Whirlpool website, and there they listed this filter (EDR3RXD1) for my refrigerator model. Worth the money
I recently bought and threw away a two-pack of cheap priced filters from China. Gray charcoal dust poured out of them at first (more than should on a new filter) and I generally did not trust them. Enter this filter.... It was significantly less expensive than on my other favorite site (starts with an A ;) and there was no gray dust purging from the get go.
