The Must Have Accessory for the Surface Pro 3
The additional USB ports, lan port and the ability to attach another HD monitor (via appropriate cable) make this a 'must have' accessory for the Surface Pro 3. No drivers required, open up the side slots, place the Surface in, close the side slots and voila. Perfect viewing angle for the Surface screen with the added security that it won't fall forward or backward unintentionally. Pleased I bought one - especially via ebay!!

It kills the wi-fi - unfit for purpose
A very neat docking station that is fine for charging the Surface whilst using Office and other Apps. However, the Wi-fi DOES NOT work when the Surface is docked. I Googled the problem and it seems this is a common fault across all Microsoft Surface and Surface Pro docking stations. Crazy. Apparently it's not even good if you plug an ethernet cable straight into the dock, although I didn't bother trying this. Useful accessory to hold and charge a Surface 3
Well designed product, the two side pieces both slide slightly sideways to release the tablet. Angled design means it does not take up much desk space. Note that the inbuilt mains power supply charges the tablet via its display connector, NOT via the troublesome micro USB connector used by the normal power supply. So if you are having charging difficulties this could be a VERY useful way of getting your tablet charged and working again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great piece of kit in so many ways.
Bought this because I was having a problem charging my surface 3 due to a fault. As this takes its power from a mains cable and by-passes the micro port I am able to use my surface again with the added benefit of it charging it too. So not bought for its true purpose which is also a big big plus but non the less enables me to keep using my surface which I couldn't do before.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

An Essential add-on for your surface 3
I bought my Surface 3 tablet to replace my ageing RT tablet, I wanted to maximise my usage of it and so i decided to buy a docking station so I could use multiple items on it (hard drive, DVD writer etc.) Buying the dock was the best idea I'd had, it allows me to work on the tablet without dragging half a dozen gizmos in another bag. it works beautifully and the extra USB slots mean i have access to all my portable gadgets. the design is aesthetically pleasing which allows you to situate it anywhere there's a flat surface.
