Which Braun shaver to buy?
I previously had a 3 series shaver, which lasted over 10 years before the battery life became poor, although still ok if plugged in. The 7 series seemed good value, compared to the 9 series, and a bit of research showed users were equally, if not more, satisfied with the 7 model. It's light and gives a great shave, with 3 intensity modes, just in case you forgot to shave over the weekend. There's a visual display showing the level of charge remaining and one for how badly it needs to be cleaned. It has a combined foil and cutter with an indicator that will tell you when it needs replacing. The replacement cost is a reasonable £22-£25 and easy to obtain. I'm not a huge fan of the clean and charge system, as it takes up space and you can't take it on holiday easily, but it's a good way to ensure a hygienic cleanse of the foil and cutter. If I'm being picky, there wasn't a brush included, but these are cheap and only for use on the body of the shaver, and there is no plastic foil protector, although there is a case supplied for transporting the shaver. The charging cable isn't coiled, (1st shaver I've ever had without a coiled one), but that will mean that the plug won't pop out of the socket when reachng for the mirror to shave, if you've forgotten to charge it! I purchased this shaver solely based on other reviews, they are wronng. for the money its rubbish
I have tried for six weeks to get used to the shaver, it takes 10 minutes to get a decent shave and the result is a sore face. my 15 year old Phillips Rotary give a better more comfortable shave. For the price of £160.00. a big mistake. Don't buy this shaver.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Needed to replace my ten year old Braun Series 7
One of my friends recently renewed his with the new Series 9 and recommended I did the same. When I checked out the specs of both models and then the reviews I thought do I need the additional features of the series 9 and then I checked out the reviews and found that the new series 7 had better reviews than the 9 and cost about £100 less! So I won on both counts. CLOSE SHAVE
Compared with my previous ( And granted rather elderly) Braun Series 3 this Series 7 is a leap ahead. As you would expect from Braun it is well made and feels very comfortable to use. The swivel head enables the shaver to follow facial contours closely. It has also shaved bristles that the previous razor didn't totally cut (often requiring a wet razor to finish the job).
