Beekeeper's Dream?
I bought 2 frames to start with to check out the quality and was so impressed that I immediately reordered 2 more. The mechanism works smoothly and meets visual inspection. The bees appear to have accepted the plastic foundation and pre-drawn cells right away and are busy filling with honey days after installation. Final evaluation of this product will have to wait on going thru a harvest cycle or two. If that works out, I would give it 5 stars. This product may work well for the backyard beekeeper(like me) with one or two hives but I would not consider it useful/economical for commercial scale honey production. My opinion. Right now I am mulling over how to manage these frames during the winter. I think they will have to be removed from the hive and stored to avoid possibility of over-winter damage.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

They said that a replacement hive box was on its way but I have been waiting over a month or more and still no replacement for broken piece .
They keep telling me that replacement item is on its way but do not say when I can expect it to arrive . It has been over a month maybe two and I am tired of waiting who knows it may never arrive . Too long for boxes
Not only do I need to convert boxes but I've got to either figure out how to make frames shorter or maybe I can sand down inside of box ends enough to fit them. 👎Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beautiful Hive
Have some knowledge and patience when you receive this hive. The wood is all wax sealed and you will have to clean up the dovetail joints. I found a razor knife and 60 grit sandpaper to be most effective. Once together, this hive is very sturdy! The brood frames do not come with this kit so be prepared to build some frames or purchase.
