  • The just right printer

This is a great product. I use it professionally with excellent results. The Epron R's have print heads that are very expensive. The Canon Pro-1 has ink that cost too much, (I use a lot). The models below the Pro-1 only have 8 inks or do not use dyes. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is to make this look as good as as the more expensive printers, you have to spend a lot of time determining the right profiles for the different papers you use. Surprisingly the most difficult papers to work with are the Canon papers. Canon does a horrible job with this and for some, this may be reason enough to go with Epson. That said, when you get it dialed in, it's amazing. Also, Red River papers are easy to profile and are a favorite of many.

  • great features --easy to use

It prints beautifully! I have had 3 canon printers including pixma 9000 pro. It did a great job for 9 years. This printer has more options and better coor. I have only had it for 2-3 weeks but so far so good.

  • Great so far

Took me a minutes to setup- the size is intimidating lol. However once your condones have firmed up, the software walk thru is simple. Haven't started using it full time, but I love the wireless aspect so far.

  • Versatile printer

I began researching this printer back in November 2015. I had a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II printer then and I wanted to switch to a printer that used pigment based ink rather than dye based ink. I had been very satisfied with the Pro 9000 and decided to stay with the Canon line of printers. After purchasing this printer, the set-up process was very easy. I had also purchased a Datacolor Spyder5 Pro colorimeter, using the sRGB as my guide. After exploring the various things that can be done with software included with this printer, I can honestly tell you that I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend this printer to the advanced amateur or working professional photographer. The only thing that I am unable to do with this printer is to print a sheet of nine wallet sized photos on one sheet of 8.5x11 paper. I've looked everywhere and tried everything but to no avail.

  • Fine Photo Printer

I had the Pixma Pro 9000 Mk II, the print head died. I tried all the fixes to no avail. The 9000 was one very fine machine and produced many hundreds of most excellent pictures AND the compatible ink worked well and was inexpensive. The Pro 10 is very similar in quality to the 9000 but somewhat better especially in B&W prints. Another "Feature" is that it uses pigment ink instead of dyes. The value of pigments is color fastness. Drops of water won't affect the print, they are dry when they come out of the printer and can be handled right away, a very nice feature. Some say that the colors are not as brilliant as the dyes but I'm not noticing it. My pictures look every bit as good if not better than before. The prints are excellent BUT there is no cheap compatible ink. There is compatible ink and it is only about half the price of the Canon brand ink and whether or not it lasts as 300 years like the Canon ink I will never know about. The old printer had 8 cartridges the new one 10. I will be spending a LOT more money on ink. You can refill cartridges easily but even the bulk ink is very expensive. If I sound like I'm complaining I'm not really, this is a very fine printer, the last one lasted about 3 years before failure but I used it hard. I could have probably repaired the old one with a new $150 print head but decided to go new. That may have been an economic mistake but the new printer is VERY nice. If you have been sending off for prints, the Pro 10 makes better prints than you will get from the stores that print for you, even the good mail order photography stores although their price is only a little more than you will have to pay for your own printing, but, you will have them NOW.

  • Great Value

I've only had the Pro 10 about a week and for the price I paid, it 's a great value. I really like it's ability to print wide format A+ (13"x19), and then some. Initial setup was quick and easy, as was the wireless setup. I am very happy with my purchase.

  • Exceedingly high quality photo prints from pigment inks, but expensive to use for an everyday document printer.

As a step up from the excellent Pro-100, whick is a dye ink printer, the Pro-10 uses all pigment inks plus an optimizer cartridge. The pigment inks are archival and resist fading for decades. The ink is expensive, so don't consider one of these for an everyday document printer. For printing photos, this printer is unsurpassed to this day.

  • Speed

Very Very slow, prints good, but hard to set custom paper size, expensive ink, the Pixma Pro 9000 is cheaper, faster and ink seems to last longer.

  • Great printer for art prints

Printer works great and gives me higher quality prints of my artwork without having to go to a print shop. I had to buy new ink since some of the cartridges were low, but otherwise the printer came in perfect working condition!
