Marshall Valvestate2000 AVT50H Amp Head
Just received the 1 button footswitch for this Marshall AVT50H amp today, so I decided to test it out with my stock BC Rich NJ Eagle. I realized quickly that the fan was very noisy. Probably gonna have to replace it real soon. The distortion channel delivered a familiar classic rock overdrive sound with middle and bass knobs all the way to 11. Gain over 50% and treble set around 2 o'clock. More depth for bigger room sound, ala arena rock. The clean channel was a little more challenging. Not the instant bell tone I was hoping to find, but after dialing down the bass to 9 o'clock, and fine tuning mid and treble, I was nearly in the tone zone. With a bit of gain on the clean channel, I was in a more pleasant listening experience, with a gritty rock power chord ringing out.
