The Eastman MD-315 F-style Mandolin is hand-made, using traditional materials and old-world craftsmanship. It has a solid spruce top, an ebony fingerboard, an adjustable ebony bridge, a solid maple back and solid maple sides. It also features D'Addario J74 strings, 23 Jescar FW37053 frets, and chrome tuners. This mandolin has F-holes for an excellent tone and projection.Product Identifiers

A fine musical instrument and a good value.
Worth the price. Well made, easy to play, excellent tone and projection. Stays in tune and no buzzing from the tailpiece. If you are starting mandolin, don't get frustrated by a lower quality instrument, if you change your mind this one is easier to sell sinced used ones are in demand. If you fall in love with mandolin, this one will grow with your skills. Great Mandolin with great playability
I had a beginner mandolin for years and wanted an upgrade. Due to input from teachers and others after extensive research I selected the Eastman MD315. Plays much easier than the starter Kentucky mandolin I learned on. The sound is full and clear. The electronics that were ordered along with this model work great. Best beginner mandolin
I'm just teaching myself to play, but have thoroughly enjoyed this mando! It has the classic mandolin sound and is gorgeous to look at! It also has volume to spare!!
