Great sound, cheap components
I love the sound of this pedal- but it has a bad foot switch or something. Every time I turn it on or off it makes a huge popping noise that could literally damage your speakers- I have to put my amp in standby before I turn it on or off. So, it's sort of useless- if the song has this effect all the way through it and I can get a chance to flip my amp into standby, turn it on, flip my amp back on- then I can use it. I use it in studio pretty often- but not live. I expected better form EHX- they're a huge, well-established company- but they use cheap, crappy foot switches. Even the EHX pedals I have that don't make this noise- the footswitch is really clanky and awkward- you have to make sure you push it down hard and feel that "click" under your foot.
