Measuring 7 inches in height and 18 inches in length, the Ultra Deluxe Kaiju Otachi action figure is one of the longer-reigning additions in NECA's Pacific Rim line of toys. The Pacific Rim monsters come to life in amazing detail thanks to NECA's product line. The Kaiju Otachi monster is one of the more memorable characters from Pacific Rim. The toy features a lot of details, showcasing the monster's similar features to other movie monsters like Godzilla and the Indominous Rex from Jurassic World. Ideal for collectors and children who love monster toys, the official Pacific Rim creation has many incredible details. NECA also made Otachi a greatly detailed figurine, with screen-accurate battle damage on its underbelly, pearlescent blue paint highlights, and beady gold eyes. This represents the character as it engages in battle in the middle of the film. When displayed with special lighting, the collectible can reflect and illuminate to make it look like it's really coming to life and popping straight out of the Pacific Rim film. This Pacific Rim Otachi collectible features over 30 points of articulation, many of them thanks to all of the ball joints. Even this Pacific Rim figure's mouth is fully articulated. The NECA Pacific Rim Kaiju Otachi's tail is segmented and features plastic ball joints, giving it great flexibility. The tail can be swung from side to side, positioned lower, or set rising up into the air. This allows you to set up the Pacific Rim collectible in multiple positions. It can be set up in a position of attack, defense, or on the prowl. The stiff points of articulation mean that when the Kaiju Otachi is set up, it remains in the position that you placed it in. Four large feet help keep the toy balanced and stable. No extra stands or accessories are needed to keep Kaiju Otachi standing up straight. Each of the legs can also be moved to place the Pacific Rim monster in a laying-down or completely upright position. In terms of accessories, this Kaiju Otachi collectible features a removable tongue that you can replace with a spitting-acid effect. The spitting acid was seen throughout the Pacific Rim film and is one of Kaiju Otachi's trademark moves. The set also includes a baby Kaiju Otachi toy that accurately represents the baby seen in the movie. The baby Kaiju Otachi toy features the same paint and details as the adult. It is a solid mold, and the baby Otachi can be placed on the side of the adult or positioned in another area like the back. The box itself features screenshots from the movie, the official Pacific Rim logo, and a large font with the Otachi name on it. The flat box can be placed on its own and does not need to be hung up or placed in an extra display case. Great looking Kaiju
Lots of articulation and looks real good. My son battles the Otachi with the Jaegers (carefully as to not break any parts) at least twice a day after he gets home from school. He knows it's a pricey item so he takes care of it. He loves the figure.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
