The 60 Watt MagSafe Power Adapter features a magnetic DC connector that ensures your power cable will disconnect if it experiences undue strain and helps prevent fraying or weakening of the cables over time. In addition, the magnetic DC helps guide the plug into the system for a quick and secure connection. When the connection is secure, an LED located at the head of the DC connector will light; an amber light lets you know that your portable is charging, while a green light tells you that you have a full charge. An AC cord is provided with the adapter for maximum cord length, while the AC wall adapter (also provided) gives you an even easier and more compact way to travel. Designed to be the perfect traveling companion, the adapter has a clever design, which allows the DC cable to be wound neatly around itself for easy cable storage. This power adapter recharges the lithium polymer battery while the system is off, on, or in sleep mode. It also powers the system if you choose to operate without a battery.

Genuine Apple product at an affordable price
As described, this is a genuine Apple product. It is not supplied in an original Apple box but it works perfectly and has the added assurance of being a genuine Apple item that won't let you down. Watch out for the numerous fakes out there on eBay often with very misleading descriptions. Adaptor is exactly the same as the original Apple adaptor I bought it to replace, very happy with both the product and service.

Cursor problems when charging
It charges the laptop and that is its main function. But it took a while to work out that when it’s on the track pad doesn’t work properly. It’s apparently because it’s not an Apple product. I had to Google to find out why. It’s a known issue though. Fine for Zoom call etc. You charge in advance; disconnect when getting into the meeting; connect again once you don’t need the cursor.

Power for Mac Book
Although not an Apple product this power adapter appears well made,similar in looks, and it works. My Apple cable cracked at the entry point of the adapter after little use so I am hoping that this one will last.

Simply "great"
Came in good packaging as described. The charger looks genuine, only thing that looks a little off is the cable thickness, not as thick as the original - but most importantly it's working! Cannot see any heating issues with the brick, cable and connectors all work without issue. Will have to see on longevity of the product, so far so good and would definitely recommend as already done so to a friend. No debate on the price to product so far, a must buy should you need a replacement.

Ideal replacement or 2nd option
I bought this to replace a dead power brick and it is good quality and works well with my Macbook Pro. It would also be ideal to use as a 2nd supply to leave at work - so you don't have to carry the brick as well as the laptop. Highly recommended product.

Not genuine Apple product
Advertised as "Genuine" but I have compared it to a genuine charger purchased from apple and this is a replica. I have kept it because it is far cheaper than what apple are selling and it still charges my MacBook. Therefore I would recommend it as an alternative to spending £80 on a charger but I am disappointed in being mislead when buying it.

All seems genuine and of a high quality
I'm quite surprised to be honest, at half the official Apple price I expected this to be a knock off. However, as an IT Technician I can verify this seems to be the real deal. Well worth the £30 and I can't find any faults after a months use.

DO NOT BUY.
DO NOT BUY! It has a disclaimer on the charger saying "This device must accept any interference received. Including interference that may cause undesired operation" It started off just fine and then after a couple of months it made my laptop turn off every-time it was unplugged. It then stopped working completely. Don't waste your money on a product that doesn't last.

DANGEROUS CHARGER.... Burnt my 8 year olds fingers.
This charger is incredibly dangerous. It burnt the skin of my 8 year old sons thumb and finger because the metal bit was burning hot after it had been charging for less then 30 minutes. This is not a genuine apple product and is not safe to use.
