    Garlock Aramid fiber 3000 gasket material

    This gasket material was perfect for replacing a worn out gasket on a old hydraulic ram used for woodsplitting. The hydraulic cylinder is so old that the manufacturer's information could not be located, thus making a handmade gasket the only solution. Thick, high strength gasket material is not readily available from the hydraulic supply shops, they only know how to order replacement parts from a known manufacturer/model number.

    Garlock 3000 is superior gasket material

    I used the Garlock 3000 gasket material for a set of heads on an air compressor. I have used other gasket material that quickly failed. The Garlock 3000 material is by far stronger and is working perfectly. It is very strong and I expect it will last a long time.
