Evolution EVO42 Magnetic Drill 230v
I bought this magnetic base drill for a variety of jobs for fabrication and welding of different thicknesses of steel and other metal jobs. Comes with a solid case to hold the drill, attachments and fixtures. The electromagnet does a solid job of holding it down or up onto whatever material you are cutting. Comes with a coolant tank for lubricating the cutters to maximise cutting life. Also comes with a drill chuck for using regular sized drill bits. Works well, not too heavy for what it does and looks like it will last a long while. Only slight drawback is that this model is single speed only, but has plenty of torque for the toughest jobs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Can't believe I did not buy one sooner cuts through metal like butter. The hole is clean and drilling large holes is simple. The magnet takes the struggle out of holding a drill and no pressure needed like when using a traditional drill. I gave 4stars instead of 5stars, and I gave good quality because there wasn’t a fair option. The reason being the thumb screw that is supposed to lock the height adjustment doesn’t hold very well under much pressure. Excellent drill and fantastic value for the money, We are using it to drill holes through thick steel structural beams, which it did effortlessly!. One small but significant fault however, when I was unpackaging the drill, I gashed my hand rather badly on the depth indicator!! why I bought this Mag-drill In the past - I had a trip to the local Hospital with a broken finger - c/o my 'ordinary drill' which spun round while I was drilling a hole in an H-iron - 5 weeks with my hand in plaster - not nice - I have only used this mag-drill for a short time - but - so far I think its magic - any size of a hole (up to 42mm) is a breeze - If you have never used one of these you're in for a v-pleasant suprise.
