    Great lopper cuts easy

Excellent lopper, blades replaceable as it does wear the more you use it, ive sharpened it twice so far... The anvil needs to be ground further then the factory edge thou....(which I did) Or it dulls tip of blade, other then that little problem you cant go wrong with this lopper..........

  • Most critical review

Buy the more frugal and useful Lopper

This is a quality made product but difficult to use because the hooked shape blade make it very difficult to get around a larger (more than 1/2 inch) tree limb. Mechanically this item works well, the arms extensions work efficiently, the leverage cutting action and sharp blades makes cutting larger branches possible with minimal effort. However, the hooked shaped cutting blade makes it very difficult to get the cutting edges around a larger branch. Basically you have to spread the arms about a 180 degrees apart to get the mouth of the cutting jaws open sufficiently to get around the branch you are trimming. We purchased two loppers at the same time, one costing less than half this one. Both my wife and I prefer to use the more economic lopper. It has straight cutting blades and is much more efficient to use.

  • Light weight with great features.

Haven't used the produce to date, but it looks sturdy and as if it can do the job.

  • Best Telescoping Loppers Yet

Have a lawn care service. Have had two sets of telescoping loppers and, with both, the locking mechanism for the handles failed. So you are left with loppers that are constantly slipping when you extend them. Brands were Corona and Gilmour. About $75 total for these. Lesson learned. These have a different mechanism for locking them into the extended position. They work. They also cut easily and you will be happy with the results. BTW, they are also recommended as a Popular Mechanics Editors choice award. Great price. Couldn't be more pleased. Curtis B

  • Makes it Easy

The mechanism at the pivot, plus the extensible handles, makes it easy to slice through tough material even well over an inch thick. I like the bypass design better than my old anvil loppers. There was no comparison between the two in terms force required to operate on the exact same material.

  • Great Lopping Power

I ordered these lopping shears to cut back overgrown branches on two palo verde trees. The ground under the trees is uneven and difficult to put a ladder on. The lopping shears allowed me to reach higher than a standard pair of shears and to get to branches I'd have had to have used a ladder for. They are surprisingly sturdy when open and have plenty of power to cut through thick branches (1.5 inch branches) without overexerting myself. A very good addition to my yard maintenance tools.

  • Great tool...will last a lifetime

I have used 5 different loppers over the years to trim trees limbs & bushes less than 2" in diameter. You don't have to get your limb saw or chain saw out. Sure grip extensions handles lock up hard & fast and give that extra reach. Top quality...heavy duty. If you know how to use loppers you will not be disappointed.

  • Strong, lightweight and easy to use

I am nearly 60 yrs old, female and just used these to cut down an overgrown hedgerow -45' x 25'. Many weeds had grown into 3" diameter trees. The Fiskars went through them without difficulty. I am happily surprised - and tired.

  • Fisher loppers

One of the best loppers shears I have ever used. Extend the handles to cut large limbs with ease or to reach the higher branches. The way the handles extend and lock is ingenious. I was a manager of an agricultural firms for 45 years so I know shears. The best shears for the money.
