Originally released as a SDE boxset with book and other memorbilia, I only wanted the four discs, so was delighted to find this cut down edition. Packaged in a normal size DVD case, it takes up no more room than any other single DVD; the four discs are packed to overflowing with wonderful content. There's a commentary, a film restoration feature, cast biogs (except one for Judy Garland!), a collection of making-of documentaries, out-takes, the films legacy, S/FX sequences, a host of audio recordings from the original song sessions, a 1950 radio adaption of the book, with Garland reprising her role of Dorothy, trailers, a bio-pic of Oz author L. Frank Baum, and most fasciating of all a collection of early Wizard Of Oz silent films dating between 1910 and 1933, one of which features a certain Oliver Hardy as the Tin Man. Utterly fantastic stuff throughout. Whether you are new to Oz or a long time fan this is definitely the last word on this magical, classic movie.
