    Good Bonding

I had a solid 25 mm marble table top and a wood panel to join together. The Gorilla glue provided a great bonding job. Follow the instruction and you will get a 100% bond. One caution, this glue expands during the drying process so care has to be taken as to the amount of glue used otherwise it can spill out over a edge. Once dry this is also waterproof so OK for outside use.

  • Most critical review

Title seems OK but product unusable.

I think I must have received a faulty squeeze pack of this product. It was much too hard to squeeze out of the container by hand - I had to use a pair of industrial pliers! Having got from the container it was almost impossible to spread - it was just large lumps. I discarded the remainder of the item as unusable. I very disappointing purchase which I won't repeat. Incidentally, I intended to rate this item as 2 star, not 4 star. However the system won't let me rate the item any less than 4 star! Why is this?

  • Good but does have issues

Excellent glue but it does suffer from one or two problems. You only need a very small amount because it expands as it sets and tends to bleed causing excess glue to flow outside the joint leaving a hard mass to cut away when set. Also, because the glue is so thick, the nozzle tends to get gunged up unless it is cleaned after every use causing it to set. I’ve purchased this glue on several occasions and each time I’ve had the problem that even although the bottle has only been partially used the remainder tends to go hard and ends up being thrown away as it’s almost solid. Still a good product though !

  • Superb for shoe repairs

Used Gorilla glue to repair a 2 year old golf shoe where the upper toe section had completely detached from the sole. Another reputable glue had failed during a wet spell. So far after 6.1/2 hrs of golf the upper is still solidly attached, although yet to try in the wet! Recommendation is to read the instructions, i.e. dampen one surface, use sufficient glue but sparingly on the other and compress for an appropriate length of time. If any excess foamed glue has appeared, gently trim off.

  • Good but not a complete fix for everything

The glue definitely has good points. Repairs to my watch strap and soles of a pair of my best shoes. Be mindful of expansion, but if you follow instructions you shouldn't have any problems. One area that the product does fail (for me at least!) is securing the handle on my mug. Not enough and there's no adhesion, a bit more and the expansion seems to push the broken components apart, wouldn't recommend it for that, if you have a cup of tea and the handle goes, well .... It's not a complete fix for everything, but a definite for softer materials where expansion can be catered for. A case of for me at least, another glue to add to my collection to use. Overall though I'd recommend it

  • A strong bond on lots of items

This is the third time I have bought this product, it's grip on materials and wood is fantastic! Works very well if left to cure and I add weight to the glue and backing of the item being bonded.

  • Excellent so far.

Still in the process of testing it out. Recommended by a friend. Quite easy to apply using a piece of stiff metal wire. Goes quite a long way. Remember to dampen surfaces first though this can be a little awkward if you are struggling to get the glue in the right place. Clamping was an absolute MUST for me. It does expand as it sets. It has been used for mending shoes. Better than anything I have tried before. It is good to have an adhesive which you can have some confidence in.

  • A very very strong glue.

This is a super strong glue. Really strong. It is water activated. I have used it to glue plastic to glass. It does take 5 to 10mins to start going hard (on a warm day) so you end up having to hold it if you can’t clamp or tape the bits being glued together. Also it’s very thick/hard to squeeze out of tube. But you wouldn’t want it runny and you certainly won’t need much.

  • excellent

had to have a hole cut into my kitchen ceiling by a plumber to repair a broken sump. he provided me with an access panel to cover it up. he didn't have any glue to adhere it to the ceiling but left it with me and recommended gorilla glue. perfect. would highly recommend.

  • IT- WORKS

After a recent storm, I found that our stone bird bath had been damaged, with the base being broken into 3 pieces. after searching the web, I found that "Gorilla" was being suggested, so I purchased a bottle. I cleaned the surfaces of the pieces with a hand brush and water leaving the surfaces wet (as instructed) then spread the glue on both surfaces. put them together. IN the morning a small trace of the foam was showing .ON lifting the water tray/ALSO damaged/we found that the whole unit could be lifted and shaken. "MAGIC" worked A DREAM and saved much money by not having too purchase a new Birdbath. Ihave also used on my damaged flower pots &tubs. HINT:-USE AS INSTRUCTED /As you use on WET surfaces.
