New improved design - much stronger
Very well made. It has extra metal in the base where the two parts join. My old one fractured at this point because it didn't have the extra metal. Metal Potato Cooking Stand
An Excellent item in it's simplicity! Takes 4 e.g. "Rosamund"- Reddish Owen Potatoes at one take. Make few small holes here and there (doesn't need to be too deep) before cooking after "impaling" them for about 1 hr in around 200 celsius degrees. When ready, make couple of cuts on top of potatoes with sharp knife, put little butter there and some salt. Serve with carlic- or curry-mayonnese-type of sauce and you're in heaven! - Remember to take the stand from the oven WITH oven-mitt (textile holder) because it's so hot it'll burn your hand otherwise. I am a jacket potato lover and I adore properly cooked oven-baked jacket spuds. None of this lifeless, flabby, insipid microwaved stuff for me. I like my spuds evenly hot throughout, salty and crisp on the outside and evenly soft throughout the inside.This baking rack is the perfect tool for my style of jacket potato.
