Interesting story
Great idea for a story. Historically interesting as it goes through historical events through the eyes of someone who was there. Dramatic ending, even melodramatic. It's the kind of book that stays with you and makes you think. The one thing I didn't like, hence only 4 stars, is the profanity. It's not all the way through but I don't like to read books with swearing in them and I wish that the publishers had warned of it. Matt Haig writes effectively and convincingly. For example, when Tom has a headache I can feel my head hurting too!
