It is made of a very stiff material making it impossible to open to fit any jar.
I found it does not open wide enough to enable it to fit around the neck of the jar, the teeth around the item do not grip. It is just not fit for purpose. I have returned it to the return address on the package as E Bay quoted almost four pound for postage, if using the E Bay return system. This allowed me to receive 10p for my returned item. A complete waste of time
This product is completely useless. It is too small to fit around anything but the smallest jars. The listing doesn't give dimensions so see photo of opener next to a typical jam jar lid). It won't grip those jars it does fit because the plastic is shiny and slippery. Many modern jars have an inward bevel at the top and it won't grip these at all.

Dont waste your money
Total waste of money, it slips off as you tighten your grip before you can excert any rotational force. Product seems to be of reasonable quality, just not any good for what it's intended for. There are no instructions, just to affirm your not using it wrongly, but it's not exactly rocket science, but then it does not help at all in opening jars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
