almost perfect
I bought a pair of these as I do some electrical safety testing and often need to remove cable insulation. These pliers are brilliant for round cable to the sizes stated, the design of the cutting jaws being smaller than the gripping jaws ensures that there is no need for adjustment when switching cable sizes. It will strip the outer of of a three core (or more) cable and you can immediately strip the inner individual wires. The cable cutters are excellent and l like the way the stripping jaws are easily replaced if they get blunt. I said nearly perfect for the following two reasons, firstly they wont strip the flatter twin core cable without cutting through the inner insualtion (to be expected l suppose because of the rounded shaped jaws) and secondly if you want to strip more than one inch of the end of a cable it cant be done wothout bending the cable so it bypasses the length stop which is possible with individual small strabds but impossible when trying to strip the outer of say a household appliance 3 core lead.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
