Sort of works
This is a very inexpensive tool to help locate hidden cables. It is not a very accurate or easy to use unit. It does work after a fashion. I used it to locate a sprinkler valve. I found 5 of the 8 valves in my yard. I was unable to find the valve that was defective. You must be patient and be willing to keep trying. I was able to get better the more I used it. easy to use and works great
I needed to repair the wire for my dog fence. I tried the AM radio trick but the noise from the lawnmower was too loud and I never found the signal. I looked for one of these on ebay and purchased this one at a fair price. The instructions were easy to follow and I found the break in the wire in less than 5 minutes.
