Excellent product from waste material, Recycling at it's best.
No cons. Briquette type logs burn well and light immediately. Quite long lasting on their own but I use them to start the multi fuel stove and top up with smokeless fuel/logs etc. For best effect, fill grate/burner or whatever with these, let them flame and then enjoy the warming look as they glow. Turn down air supply and they will glow for some time giving off high heat. The dust left at the bottom of each sack can be collected, wrapped in a sheet of newspaper and used to start the fire from scratch. Win win situation, burn well, give off good heat and leave absolutely no residue, just a fine powder ash which can be put on the garden soil.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good alternative to logs
The product arrived promptly and in clean bags that were easy for my partner to take out to the shed. It is not easy to stack a ton of logs at short notice! The compressed wood chip cylinders look and smell like pine logs, so they look attractive stacked on the hearth and give the room a lovely Christmas tree aroma. It hasn't been cold enough to use the wood burner over Christmas, so I can't comment on whether they are easy to light and economical to burn, but I am optimistic. Just the job
These briquettes are great to give your fire a boost. You get plenty in the 20KG bag and for the money it seems pretty decent value. I wanted something that was small, lights up easily and provides decent heat. These are perfect for that. I get the fire started, then add just two small pieces which has the effect of producing good heat, helping logs to get burning nicely and providing a nice little extra to the embers and ash to keep the fire going.
