Straight swap for the old fan.
The old fan finally gave up the ghost after a number of years service. This was a straight swap so took no time at all. This came with an off white cover but as it was a straight swap I could use the chrome effect cover from the old unit so you can't even see that the fan has been changed. Much quieter than the old unit so another big plus. Took 10 minutes to change and it only took that long because it is mounted in an awkward place in my bathroom. Not compatible from old.
The product doesn't fit flat on the ceiling from an existing 4 inch coil extraction pipe. It was a Greenwood product i had previously. Now I've got to make good a ceiling as it wasn't going up as the previous fitting was shorter and worked. This tube going into ceiling is too long. Fan is quiet and steam still builds up in bathroom walls mirrors. Not powerful enough. Let down but..won't buy again. The first pic was my previous extract fan which was stronger and also was told inserts would work with new. Poor quality! Boing!
