Suffering from psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis doctors at Rheumatology recommended using Voltarol Gel 12 hour relief it really does help I also suffer with really painful spasms which I have to take strong neurological medication for and find rubbing the gel in as well as taking the tablets, the consultant at rheumatology wrote to GP asking for prescription to be issued for the Voltarol pain relief plasters for my neck and shoulders.sometimes our pharmacy can’t get the gel cream so finding it on eBay was such a relief and cheaper than well known pharmacy good to know.I will be able to get it if I needed to.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Relief in a tube!
To me this is a relief from my arthritis in all my main joints. I use it during the night on my inflamed joints so that I can get some sleep.The only things that lets it down is that it doesn’t last anywhere near the advertised 12 hours and it is fairly expensive,but the relief it gives is worth it.I use it during the day on the muscle that’s trapping the nerve in my hip,again relief!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It definitely helps with arthritic knee pain but.........................
Managed to contain an flare-up of knee arthritis but sadly has not totally solved the problem. One has to be careful not to overdose with this or similar products,so using small tubes and using smaller targeted amounts less often is sensible. Probably just about the best of the non-perscription pain relief gels? For me at least, it does last longer than most others, it does work relatively quickly and it does absorb relatively quickly and there's no offensive smell. Well known product but do not rely on it for 100% pain free.
Voltarol has been around for some time and with 2.3% it is the best you can get over the counter. It is not the be all and end all if you do have back problems it basically covers over the cracks and makes life a little easier. Voltarol is excellent for pain relief. I have tried most medications, but none of them as good as Voltarol. But you can only use it twice a day for 14 days. Then stop the treatment.
